Col'Cacchio

Zomato spoiled me yet again by inviting me to a meet-up at Col'Cacchio's in the new Dainfern Square shopping centre. I had a lovely evening and REALLY enjoyed the selection of food that we got! 

I was most impressed by the range of salads there were on the menu. Salads used to be boring 'side dishes' or diet dishes. Nowadays there are some really amazing salads that compete with other options on menus. Col'Cacchio's salads do just that! Even though their pizzas will always be their flagship meal, their salads are absolutely divine!! My favourite was the orientale which, at R80 is a great portion size and has my favourite - edamame beans! If you haven't tried these magical little beans yet, then get to Col'Cacchio's!! 

I feel like I don't need to say much about their pizzas - great selection, awesome pizzas, that's all, If you are indecisive you can even select 2 pizza options and a have a half/half pizza! Also great for when you are sharing!! 

Desserts were another surprise! The fire & ice (R49) consisted of frozen berries with hot white chocolate sauce and was such a different take on dessert. Check out their DESSERT MENU, it's crazy amazing! They even have a banting friendly coco berry panna cotta (coconut panna cotta with blueberry compote) 

How cool are their pizzas with the hole in the middle?
